In Publish, you can post YouTube videos and Shorts to your connected YouTube channels. When publishing a video or Short, you can choose to make your content public, private, or unlisted, and optionally add your video to a playlist in a connected YouTube channel. In this article, learn how to create YouTube videos and Shorts in Publish and view them in the Publish calendar.
Creating a YouTube video or Short
- In Publish, click Create Post in the top-left corner. Click YouTube, select your YouTube channel, then click Create YouTube Post.
-
In the post editor, enter a title and description for your video and click Add Media Files to upload your video.
Note:
For YouTube, one video upload at a time is supported. Hover over the media information tooltip to see our recommended specifications for YouTube videos or shorts. YouTube determines whether a video is a Short. Any video that’s in 9:16 format and under 3 minutes long is automatically classified as a Short.
- Use the Privacy dropdown to set the privacy for your video to Public, Private, or Unlisted.
- Optionally, use the Playlist dropdown to add the video to a playlist from your connected YouTube channel.
- Optionally, use the YouTube Video Tags box to enter video tags. Video tags can be useful if the content of your video is commonly misspelled.
- Optionally, schedule your post, add labels, and/or add approvers.
- You will see a preview of your video in the Preview panel of the post editor.
If you are creating a Short, you will see a preview of the Short accordingly. Please note that YouTube experiments or updates may affect the final appearance of your video. - When ready, click Schedule, Send for Approval, or Publish.
