Note:

Please note that the features described in this article will be available in Social Media Management on May 10, 2025.

Welcome to Social Media Management! This article covers the preliminary steps you’ll take to join a Social Media Management organization and set up your user account. Once you have accessed your account, visit our article on Navigating Social Media Management to get a quick tour of the platform.

Getting invited to Social Media Management

If you haven’t yet been added to an existing Social Media Management organization, you can reach out to anyone with an Admin user role for your organization to request an invitation.

Tip:

Admin users can easily invite new users to their organization via your Organization admin settings > Users. If you are an Admin user, visit our Managing Users article to learn how to invite and manage users.

Alternatively, the Admin user can reach out to your organization’s Customer Success Manager (CSM) or our Support team for assistance inviting new users.

Creating your user account

After an Admin user has added you to the organization, you will receive an email invitation with instructions on how to set up your Brandwatch account.

By following the link in the email, you can complete your account setup.

To create your account, enter your name and create a password. Please note that your email address will not be editable as it will be the email your administrator used to invite you to the organization.

Your password must contain the following criteria:

  • At least 8 characters
  • At least 1 number
  • At least 1 uppercase character
  • At least 1 symbol

Click Create Your Account to proceed.

Next, you will set up two-factor authentication (2FA) to provide your account an added level of security. Please note that two-factor authentication is required for account setup and requires the use of an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator to be installed on your device.

Note:

If your organization has made it mandatory to sign in using single sign-on (SSO), you will not be required to set up 2FA.

After you create your account, you will automatically be logged in and redirected to the platform.
