Brandwatch suite customers with multiple organizations in their suite — whether they be multiple Consumer Intelligence (CI) clients, Social Media Management (SMM) organizations, or a combination of the two — will experience limitations with connecting LinkedIn, Threads, and TikTok accounts to multiple organizations in their suite. At this time, LinkedIn, Threads, and TikTok accounts can only be connected to one CI and SMM organization pair at a time, or a single CI client, or a single SMM organization within a suite.
Which customers will be impacted?
Customers with multiple organizations in their Brandwatch suite, such as the following scenarios, will experience LinkedIn, Threads, and TikTok account limitations in their suite:
You have multiple Consumer Intelligence clients in your suite
You have multiple Social Media Management organizations in your suite
You have a combination of Consumer Intelligence and Social Media Management organizations in your suite (e.g. 1 CI and 2 SMM organizations, or 2 CI and 1 SMM organizations, etc.)
Example scenarios
The following examples can help to clarify the expected behaviors when connecting LinkedIn, Threads, or TikTok accounts depending on your suite setup:
Scenario 1: You have a single CI client and a single SMM organization in your suite
If you have a single CI and SMM organization pair in your suite, meaning you have a single CI client and a single SMM organization, a LinkedIn, TikTok, or Threads account you have connected to SMM will be available in CI by default as a content source.
Scenario 2: You have multiple CI clients in your suite
If you have multiple CI clients in your suite and you track a LinkedIn, TikTok, or Threads content source in one CI client, you wouldn't be able to track that source in your second CI client.
Since CI supports tracking of LinkedIn accounts as either a channels or content sources, if you tracked a LinkedIn account as either a channel or content source in one CI client, you similarly wouldn’t be able to track the same LinkedIn account as either a channel or content source in the other CI client.
Scenario 3: You have CI and Listen
If you have access to both a primary CI client and Listen, a LinkedIn or TikTok account will be authenticated in the primary CI client, even if you authenticate the account manually using Listen.
Why is my suite experiencing these limitations?
LinkedIn, Threads, and TikTok all depend on Social Media Management's data ingestion and authentication architecture, which enforces stricter rules. Therefore, within the same Brandwatch suite, a given LinkedIn, Threads, or TikTok account can only be connected to a single CI client/SMM organization pair, or exclusively to either a CI client or an SMM organization.
If you are impacted by this limitation, please keep it in mind when choosing to connect a LinkedIn, TikTok, or Threads account in SMM or CI.
