What is Social Login?
In Social Media Management, there are a few different login methods available, including: password, Single Sign-On (SSO), additional Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), and Social Login.
When you choose to authenticate yourself via Social Login, you will have the option of logging into Social Media Management with your Google, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn personal profile credentials instead of using your password. Along with having to remember less passwords, Social Login can save you some time if you’re already logged into the applicable network on the same browser.
But first, you will need to successfully log into Social Media Management and set up your Social Login from within Social Media Management following the steps below.
Setting Up Social Login
Any user can set up Social Login while logged into Social Media Management. To get started, please see the guide below:
- From the bottom left, hover over your profile image.
- From the menu on the right, click Edit your profile.
- At the top of the page, click the Social Login tab.
- To the right of the applicable network, click Connect.
- When the popup for the native network appears, log in. If already logged in, click Continue.
- When the popup closes, under Status, check that the applicable network now shows as, Connected.
At any time, you can revisit the Social login tab and click Disconnect to the right of any already-connected network.
Logging in with Social Login
When you have set up Social Login, you will be able to log in using your applicable social media credentials instead of your Social Media Management password, though you can always choose to use your password instead. Note:
If you have set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), this will always be required in addition to the successful login via the social network. If you have set up SSO, you will be required to always log in via SSO instead of Social Login.
