In Publish, you can create and post an image, video, or carousel pin to the boards on your connected Pinterest channels. For convenience, you can create new boards and board sections for your Pinterest channel straight within the Publish editor when creating a pin. In this article, learn how to create and publish a new Pinterest pin to your channel, and how to view your scheduled or published pins in Publish’s content list and calendar.
Creating an image, video, or carousel pin
- In Publish, click Create Post and select Pinterest. Select your Pinterest channel.
Note:
You can only post a pin to one channel at a time.
- In the Publish editor, select the Pinterest board you would like to post your pin to.
Tip:
If needed, you can create a new board within the Board dropdown. Optionally, you can also select a section of your board to post to, or create a new board section.
- Upload your media file(s) using the file uploader, and optionally enter a title, description, and link for your pin using the respective text boxes.
Tip:
For images, it is possible to add alt text on the pin level.
- Within the Schedule panel, select a date and time to publish your pin if you would like to schedule it.
- When ready, click Publish, Schedule, or Send for Approval to finish your pin.
Once your post has been scheduled or published, you will see your post in the Publish content list and calendar.
Note:
Due to API limitations, if you created a pin natively in Pinterest but did not assign it to a board, the pin will not be indexed in Publish.
