FAQ: TikTok Creator Marketplace (TTCM) Features in Influence

This guide offers an overview of the features available for TikTok Creator Marketplace (TTCM) accounts in Influence and answer some commonly asked questions.

How can I invite influencers to the TikTok Creator Marketplace?

Note:

Influencers must have a TikTok Creator Marketplace (TTCM) account in order for you to track their posts in your campaign and for them to authorize their content to be used for Spark Ads. Follow the steps below to invite an influencer to the TikTok Creator Marketplace.

When you view an influencer's TikTok account in their profile, you will see if they have an authenticated or non-authenticated account as well as whether or not their account is part of the TikTok Creator Marketplace. TTCM accounts will have a "Marketplace" label when you view the account. Non-TTCM accounts will have a "Non-TTCM" label and you will have a Send Invite option to invite the influencer to join the TTCM. Non-TTCM account with invite button.png

Note:

Please be aware that not all TikTok accounts are eligible to join TikTok’s Creator Marketplace.

In order for an influencer to be part of TikTok Creator Marketplace, creators must:

  • Meet the minimum follower requirement. The exact number depends on the influencer’s location — for example, in the United States the requirement is 10,000 followers.
  • Be located in the 24 countries where TTCM is currently available: Australia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United States, and Vietnam.
  • Be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a personal TikTok account (please switch from a business account).
  • Have at least 3 TikTok videos posted in the last 30 days.
  • Have at least 1,000 video views in last 30 days.
  • Create content that is appropriate for audiences 13 years of age and older.

If a TikTok account you invite is not eligible for the TTCM, you will see this error message:Non-TTCM account invitation rejected.png

Once the invitation is sent, the influencer will receive a message in their TikTok inbox that they have been invited to join Creator Marketplace. When the influencer clicks the message in their inbox, they will be taken to the their System Notifications where they will see the invitation and can click to View More.TTCM invitation message in TikTok.png

The influencer can then click Join to accept the invitation.Join TTCM from TikTok.png

The influencer will see a confirmation message and their account will then update to TTCM in Influence. You've joined Creator Marketplace confirmation.png

How can I send an influencer an order to track their TikTok posts in my campaign?

Keyword detection is not supported for TikTok account post tracking, so the TikTok Creator Marketplace (TTCM) section in your Campaign Settings allows you to send orders to your TTCM influencers to track their campaign posts.

  1. In Campaign Settings > TikTok Creator Marketplace, enter the brand name and a description for your campaign.TikTok creator marketplace section in campaign settings.png
  2. After saving your brand name and description, scroll down and create orders for the TikTok influencers in the campaign by clicking Create Order next to the influencer(s).Accounts & Orders > Create order.png Select the number of videos the influencer needs to deliver in this campaign (the maximum video limit for each order is 10).Add deliverables menu.png You also have the option to customize the deliverable names, which influencers will be able to see when they login to TikTok, and request for the influencer to authorize their posts for Spark Ads for a certain duration.Customize deliverable names.pngApply for Spark Ads.png

  3. After the order has been created, you’ll see the order status update to "Order Created" and an invitation link will become available. Copy the invitation link and send it to the influencer. The influencer should use this link to upload the content that they are creating for your TikTok campaign.

When the influencer uploads their content via the link, their posts will be automatically tied to your campaign on TikTok so that you’ll get access to rich performance reports. If an influencer forgets to upload the content via the invitation link and instead uploads it directly to their TikTok account, they can use the Campaign Code from the order to retroactively tie their TikTok post to your campaign.Campaign settings create TikTok order.png

  4. When the influencers fulfill the orders, the TikTok posts will be captured by Influence and displayed under the Published Posts > TikTok in the campaign.TikTok published posts in campaign.png

What are Spark Ads and what are the benefits of using them?

Spark ads are a native ad format that allow you to repurpose organic content on TikTok with paid dollars to achieve marketing objectives. With your influencers’ permission, you can use the content your influencers have created for your campaign for your Spark Ads. All views, comments, shares, likes, and follows gained from boosting the video through Spark Ads are attributed to the organic posts.

Merging organic and paid is a proven approach to strategically reach consumers wherever they are. By leveraging the creator’s following, combined with "sparked" traffic, you’ll see better performance and return on investment to maximize conversion and impact.

Can I request authorization for Spark Ads by post?

If you forgot to request Spark Ads authorization from the influencer when you created the order to track their posts, you’ll have the option to request this later from within the post details on the Published Posts tab in your campaign once the influencer has published the campaign post live. TikTok post send request for smart ad.png

How does an influencer authorize Spark Ads from TikTok?

After you send an influencer the invitation link for authorization, they must open the link using the TikTok app. The invitation link will direct them to the below screen, where they will see information about the required deliverables for your campaign and Spark Ads authorization.Campaign details 2.png

Once the influencer clicks Join Campaign, they will be prompted to upload their video deliverables for your order.

After the video is uploaded, the influencer will continue to post the video via the workflow in the TikTok app.Video upload flow in TikTok.png

How do I create Spark Ads in TikTok?

Once the influencer uploads and publishes a deliverable in the order, you’ll see the post under Published Posts in your campaign in Influence. If you click on the post on that page, it’ll open up the post details, including detailed post performance and Spark Ads authorization details. On the Spark Ads tab, you’ll see the video authorization code.Authorized for Spark Ads code.png

Log into your TikTok Ads Manager and follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Asset and choose Creative.
  2. Select the Spark Ads posts tab and then click Apply for Authorization.
  3. Paste the video code in the search bar, click Search, and the influencer’s post will show up. Confirm this is the designated post to be promoted and then click Confirm. The influencer’s post will be available in your Spark Ads asset library.
  4. Set up the campaign in TikTok Ads Manager. In Ad Settings, after filling in the Ad Name, toggle on Use TikTok account to deliver Spark Ads. Under Use other authorized account or post, select the TikTok account profile that authorized the specific post to you that you intend to use in Spark Ads.
