Email Security Settings (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC)

On February 1, 2024, major email providers Google and Yahoo implemented significant email policy updates globally to enhance security and combat spam. Bulk email senders — defined as any sender or domain dispatching 5,000 or more messages to personal accounts within a 24-hour period — are now required to authenticate their domains with the following three keys:

  • Sender Policy Framework (SPF)
  • DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM)
  • Domain Message Authentication Reporting and Conformance (DMARC)

Brandwatch has taken all necessary steps to ensure our platforms comply with these new requirements. Most Social Media Management users will not notice any change. You should continue to receive our automated messages according to your own notification settings

However, if you use Influence to mass email influencers, you will need to configure your domain in order to continue sending messages. Please see our dedicated setup guide for more on this: Influence Outbound Email Domain Configuration.
